We have flown to England for the month of May to travel on historic highways and by-ways, staying mostly in deepest rural Wiltshire. Days out in London, Bath, Bournemouth, Southampton, Salisbury and Poole have reminded me how exceptional this small birth-country of mine is. Time is rushing by and there is still so much to revisit but there will be a next time... You never really notice what is right beneath your nose until it is gone. How does eleven hundred photos so far sound? (No I won't be putting them all on "Through the Lens!")

I hope you are having a good trip and you will at least put some of the photos up? Look forward to hearing about it and that all is well :-)
Sorry about the weather :(
Enjoy good old blighty while you can! You should probably invest in an anorak - they're all the rage this season! :p
Fathorse - nothing but rain since the wheels hit the runway! I should have expected no better! I would like to have called on dad but time has raced by and there is still so much to do. Next stop - anorak shop...
while you are here, pop into Fekenham Swarberry for a cup of something warm and a fireside chat.
!!!
oh so happy to hear your getting to see home again. hope your enjoying yourself!
CJ - thanks for the cyber-invite! Thus far in the real world we have meandered through Monkton Deverell, Lytchet Matravers and Chilton Foliat. Place names here are always so short and snappy don't you think!!
Mrs C - home sweet home.
Welcome home for a bit. English village names are wonderful. My personal favourite is one near my home town named Wetwang.
Ruk - nice one! All the little un-numbered roads and single lane byways throw up some amazing historical references. Hmmm, I miss that.
I vote for putting up all 1100 photos. I miss seeing a little of the world through your virgo eyes.
Patry - I will do my best but now that Blogger has abandoned "Hello" I upload my photos through Picassa and appear huge??
