That month back in England

Too much to do and see, not enough time... but we still managed to take over 1200 photos. I picked just a few to post and here they are on Through the Lens.

Mrs C - thanks, I had great time. But it was tough leaving all my family behind again. I hope you have a good trip home, September is only just over 2 months away!

How curious, I have been in Canada for 7 months too...

I think maybe our planes passed each other..lol....I left the night of december 9th arriving here december 10th..and you?

I said to the same to paul...it is going to be very hard to leave them again, i am only going for a week because i'll be going to chef school and i can't miss much but it is better then nothing right?

What part of moose-land are you in again?

Mrs C - I left early morning on 13th Dec with two huge suitcases. I had already forwarded 14 tea chests of possessions which arrived by sea and road 2 months later.

We live on Prince Edward Island.

Yes a week is better than nothing but it will fly past leaving you wanting more... Sounds like you are really getting down to it with chef school.

yeah chef school..im excited.. i was a chef for 8 years but with experience only...here in sweden you must have schooling and seeing as they pay you to go to school, why not!?...but its all in swedish, no english..lol....but i take swedish classes along side it so it should be ok.

So you only left just a few days after me, go figure! i mailed a bunch of boxes 3 days before i left and they got here 2 days after i did, and i brought one little carry on and 2 other suitcases jammed full...since i have been here i accumulated more crap...and just to think i got rid of half my clothes and a whole house full of everything before i came here..it adds up fast!

Cooking in Swedish, hmmm. I burn the water when I boil eggs but I am learning to try!

I had fifty years of stuff to thin out. I sold a house, a car, a motor cycle and gave away all furniture and most possessions. All I sent to Canada was my clothes, largish music collection, fils, Hi-fi, photographs and some keepsakes.

Look out for photos of the new car I just bought here...

You sound happy.
Must have been mixed emotions to return to England, hopefully, mostly terrific ones!
TERRIFIC photo of you, in your youth, on the post above! (Plus, how apt your words are.) :D

GEL - yes a mixture of happy and sad. Even a whole month is over too quickly.
I had hair in my youth, really! Famous last words, I think I was saying never again. I'm definitely tired and resting.
