And what good soup it was!
I'm looking forward to getting some images of your run next Sunday. I am very proud of you!
Damn you, you're radiating health, happiness and wellbeing.
:-)
Good luck old chap. Would it be a first if a Brit won!!?
Michelle - thank you, I'll try not to let the side down! You know how much I have researched last year's times and compared them with my training runs, so hopefully you'll know when to expect me to cross the line.
Gordie - let me reassure you, a degree of health comes with a fair amount of pain!
CJ - it would indeed be a first! There wouldn't normally be any British entrants as the island event is fairly obscure and only attracts around 400 runners - mostly local. I am expecting to finish in the bottom third to judge by my training times but for me it's about completing a stiff endurance test and being able to say "I did it."
Only teasing mate. It is great that you have the bottle to take part. As the Olympics used to say, before they went all corporate and American, it is the taking part that matters. You should be proud!
CJ - if you check back on Sunday or Monday I should have posted the results - for better or worse! Yep, you're right it is about "the taking part."
I have been amazed at how my stamina has improved over the months. A few months ago I would never have thought myself capable of this. Think of me on Sunday morning (well, 2pm your time)!
Gorgeous pics and now I'm hungry too!
