These days I'm not good at concentrating on more than one thing at a time. I have a new PC and laptop and am running them beside my old PC while I transfer files, programmes and settings. I can't do that and write as well. The wires are untangled the systems all run smoothly and I am packing away the boxes. So normal sporadic service will be resumed as soon as can muster the enthusiasm.

JJ - My natural instinct is to rush at it and do it all in one sitting! But I paced myself and spent every evening last week going through everything methodically. I am down to tweaking and fine tuning now!!!
Roots - be my guest! I love gadgets and PCs are just the perfect example.
JJ - similar, only less intrusive! Don't they say size is no guarantee of quality? :)

Ruk - bear with me for a while. I plan on returning when i feel better.
Transience - so i was missed! I didn't think you would realise i had been away. Yes, away phsycologically though not physically. As to the inheritance well we'll have to wait and see :)
Grace - JJ just comes right out and says it (don't you JJ!) but she's right i think. I wondered if you'd like my new toys. I'll put up some details and some more pictures soon.
That is the beauty of true friendship isn't it? You can scream and shout and still get forgiven.
Inheritance eh? I had the same. spent the bloody lot in as many minutes.
Heh. Convert to the Mac! It's super easy to do all that stuff. The hardest part was introducing my Mac to my PC. The Mac was quite friendly, of course. It was the stubborn PC that started screaming and didn't want to be networked with such an imposter. LOL!!!
CJ - yep you nailed friendship right there. Not an inheritance just a technology spending spree and it's out of my system now!
Jen - well i've always been a PC kind of guy so that's what I stayed with. My cables are straight, my network live and my sytems are now purring gently! You make the introduction sound like the established family pet getting to know the newcomer! Nice words...
