An engagement to celebrate

Eldest son M proposed to his girlfriend G on Valentine's day. I think he must be an incurable romantic though I can't imagine where he get's that from! G is grinning from ear to ear and showing off her ring. Tonight six of us are out for a meal to celebrate.

Where did all that time go? It seems like only yesterday he was learning to walk and now he's ready to fly. Heck I'm getting all misty eyed but it is nice to have good news for a change.

Hi there. What great news and nice to know they are happy? But the milestones do clock up so quickly, I feel that too. Thanks for calling in last night, I appreciate it very much. I also do like the way you approach your blog. The photos and poetry really say so much at times. I've been fiddling with a fractal program I found. I love fractals for some reason. So I thought I might develop my creative side! Unfortunately I need to buy the full version of the program to produce an image which doesnt have 'evaluation version' stamped on it! I might buy it and post some. Have a great celebration tonight!

Thank you so much for the best wishes, we're all very pleased for them and they seem extremely happy. I am really flattered you think my poetry is worth reading! I spend ages messing around with words even if the result is often a bit feeble!

Creativite writing is something I turn to in times of anxiety. I find concentrating my mind on a short project is a way of shutting out other thoughts. It fills all those awkward gaps between doing real things.
Photography has always been a hobby and slipping shots into the blog breaks things up with the odd spot of colour. However the pictures do tend to shunt the words down the page and out of site with alarming speed! Still anyone interested enough can always explore the archives.

Keep well today and I hope you are holding up. Enjoy your fractal fiddling and get creative! I'm off to B&Q now to talk about bathroom suites. Groan!

Pretentious! Moi? Why thank you Doc! Its very kind of you to take the trouble to comment. I looked at some of your words and pictures. The bullet story really is chilling. I feel it puts me into context somewhat, after all I only take the pics for fun.
