Wow, what a great image, how'd you do that? BTW can you tell me how I get an image in the profile bit? As you have seen I am playing around with imgs!

That was taken with the camera tripod-mounted and shooting on self-timer. I used an exposure of about 1.5 seconds (some manuals call it 'long shutter mode') with no flash and a touch of movement by the sitter, whoever he is! You see that method used for night shots where car headlights seem to pass by in an endless stripe.

Blogger isn't very good at explaining how to put a picture in the profile. You type the photo's URL into the relevant line on the 'edit profile' page. That is to say the web address of your photo where it sits on 'hello'. I couldn't determine that address on 'hello' so I used trial and error - mostly error - and found this way:

I upload a picture from 'hello' to Blogger. Click on the photo in the blog and the address appears in the address bar of Internet Explorer. Copy the address line and paste it into the profile. Then through the dashboard I choose 'edit posts' and delete the photo from the main blog. A bit long winded but it works.

Oh and by the way I used 'Microsoft Picture It' to crop the guitar image to just the relevant portion.

Hello citycrab your comments are very welcome. I'm sure the code was crackable but I couldn't take the chance! We parents had a good evening out with a pair of happy and well-suited youngsters.

Now about these numbers you are keen to follow, I would imagine that seeing my little counter hit the magic 217 just as you arrived is about as likely as a planetary alignment! Guess I'd better watch my step today, anything could happen!

Ah ha, the convoluted approach to adding an img to the profile makes sense and is normally the way I approach things so that suits me fine! No numerical gongs on in my life but I maybe need to take more notice. Spooky that 217 thing!
